Shockwave Cannon

Used in SRL performances since 1987, the Shockwave Cannon harnesses explosions of propylene and oxygen to create a powerful vortex ring strong enough to break windows from 700 ft away and yet feel like a gentle puff of air when aimed at humans. The barrel is about 24 feet long mounted atop a reinforced tripod. An electronic timer system keeps the gas mixture precise, on the tethered control box, one timer is for fill and the other fires the device. The timer stops automatically when the gas is mixed and the device can only fire after the timer has shut off.
